Malagousia is an aromatic Greek grape that was almost lost a few decades ago and is now one of the country's most loved whites. This single-block bottling comes from Block #11, known as "Bara", at the Samaropetra estate in Agios Panteleimonas. The vines were planted in 2004 at 720 metres, on sandy loam soils.
Lemon-green in the glass, with white blossom, white-fleshed peach, quince and citrus. The palate is crisp yet full-bodied, with a long finish. The grapes are carefully selected, given a short cold soak and fermented cool in stainless steel. The wine then rests six months on fine lees with occasional stirring.
